277 Metal began in 1964 as Equipment Design and Fabrication. It primarily serves customers in batch process, construction, and power distribution businesses focusing primarily on structural applications, material handling and specific operations during the batch process.

Machinery design includes custom saws, electric / pneumatic / hydraulic automation, valves / gates, and conveyors.

Heavy fabrication includes rail and roller systems, utility towers, furnace components, gearboxes, and delumpers.
